Its both fruity and savory; tart yet velvety. It all begins with a magnificent burst of perfumes associated with finely made Pinot Gris. The first of which are lush and heady dried apple, honey and fig. These are followed by the wines bright elements of pear, red apple and Meyer lemon. A refreshing dose of lime and that always-elusive minerality rounds out the bouquet and continues into the crisp, cleansing mouthfeel.

Winemaker’s Tasting Notes:

Tasting Notes & Winemaking Process

It’s rare to find the complex aromas and nuanced textures that this cool- climate Pinot Gris shows. It’s both fruity and savory; tart yet velvety. It all begins with a magnificent burst of perfumes associated with finely made Pinot Gris. The first of which are lush and heady dried apple, honey and fig. These are followed by the wine’s bright elements of pear, red apple and Meyer lemon. A refreshing dose of lime and that always-elusive minerality rounds out the bouquet and continues into the crisp, cleansing mouthfeel Swimming Pool Covers.

While showing tartness in the mouth, the wine still maintains a rich texture and structural viscosity. The honeyed finish lingers for several minutes and is more reminiscent of a finely made red wine than a crisp summertime white. This silky structure is achieved through fermenting 50 percent of the wine in neutral oak barrels and lees stirring several times a month. The re- maining 50 percent, which slowly ferments for several months at 52 degrees Fahrenheit in stainless steel tanks, gives the Cheap Replica Watches wine its crisp and fresh per- fumes.

Vineyard

The Balletto Pinot Gris is grown at the famed Burnside Road Vineyard southwest of the town of Sebastopol. The hillside vineyard, which sits at 1,000 feet elevation and lies about 12 miles from the cooling influence of the Pacific Ocean, produces cool-climate Pinot Gris that is both distinct and instantly identifiable as Pinot Gris. These traits come from ardent farming practices, hands-off winemaking philosophy and incredible estate vineyard sites located throughout the southern tip of the Russian River Valley.
